Another month means another round of Country Box, where music meets boxing. Each month brings a new lineup of fighters ready to throw down and a musical guest ready to light up the crowd and the stage in between the fights.
This show will be in the customary first Tuesday of the month slot, with the first bell scheduled to ring at 7 pm CT at the Texas Troubadour Theater. The action on stage will come from Kinsey Rose. A former contestant on the Voice, Rose is now a regular on Nashville stages and can be seen all around town and regularly at Nashville Predators games. Her latest release is called “Honkey Tonk Treasures”
The Fights
At the top of the card, Ryan Shaw (7-0-0 7 KOs) returns for another fight in his young career. This six-round bout will be in the super flyweight division against Andre Donavon (7-2-0 4 KOs) who is unbeaten in his last seven outings. One of the lightest divisions in boxing, this contest should feature high-speed action and agile fighters.
Also returning to the ring is Erick Arellano (10-0-1 7 KOs), the Texas Troubadour’s heavyweight fighter in residence, looking to avenge his recent draw against Raphael Carolina (2-4-1 KO). The dissenting judge ruled the bout in Arellano’s favor in their March contest 59-55, with the other two resting at 57-57 scores. The grudge match is scheduled for six rounds and figures to be one of the most anticipated bouts of the night.
In another heavyweight contest, undefeated Ukrainian Vladyslav Sirenko (19-0-0 16 KOs) ends his retirement and makes his US debut. A talented knockout artist, Sirenko won several minor WBC titles during his European run. He’ll be welcomed to the US ranks by Deon Ronny Hale, an experienced southpaw who looks to provide the first test for Sirenko.
In a super middleweight contest, Djibril Diakite (7-0-0 6 KOs) is continuing his young career with a stop at Country Box. The 6’0 Queens, NY native has recently stepped up into the 6-round ranks. Michael Lemelle (3-16-3) has seen his fair share of young fighters and will surely be prepared for Diakite.
In women’s super featherweight action, Chiara Dituri (7-1-0 3 KOs) is looking to right her most recent loss. The highly ranked 30-year-old is taking on Cara McMcLaughlin (1-9-0) an Irish fighter making her first trip down to Nashville. Women’s action will feature 6 rounds of hard-hitting action that might unfold even quicker than the men’s fights for the evening.
In the opener and debut fight, Lindsey Ellis of Tennessee will be taking on Shaniqua Fraizer (0-5-0). One of the great things about shows like Country Box is the debuts of young fighters and being in the crowd or watching the start of someone’s professional career. You can’t get any closer to the action than in boxing.
Country Box is the brainchild of Jimmy Adams, the CEO of Jimmy Adams Promotions. A boxing lifer, the veteran promotor and former manager of Oliver McCall, Tony Tucker, Bert Cooper, and Riddick Bowe, has helped create a fantastic in-person event mixing talented local boxers and rising prospects along with Nashville’s greatest export, musicians. This is a unique live event among music and sports, that also can be seen around the world. His mission to bring grassroots boxing back to Tennessee started back in 2023 and he has put on shows almost every month since in Nashville. The matchmaking is down by Hall of Famer Christy Martin, the former world champion who now makes bouts for the events.
